Reggie in Riverside, CA

Just Adopted!

Here is Reggie with his new family...

The simple things in life makes Reggie happiest - having a special someone as his buddy, a treat, a walk to the park, a back scratch, belly rub, getting in the car to go on an adventure, these are the things that bring him joy.

Reggie came to us from a shelter where he was found as a stray, no tags, no collar, no microchip and no one came looking for him. Although Reggie was listed as Cavalier Spaniel, we think he has some Cocker other and Cavalier in his handsome good looks. He was neutered, brought up to date on vaccinations, received treatment for fleas and as you can see, he is a fine-looking fellow all cleaned up.

Reggie is part sweetness but spirited too, and he is ready for a long life of adventures. Reggie’s favorite place is in the middle of the couch, even better when shared with a pal nearby. He likes to stay close, but not under foot. Rolling on the carpet and belly rubs make him smile. Going for a ride? Reggie will be your co-pilot and fellow adventurer on short errands or long journeys. He wants to be your partner in life and is happiest when adventures rule the day.

Reggie enjoys going on long walks and is very good on leash. A little hiking is the best thing ever as he enjoys outdoor adventures as much as indoor relaxation. He is fully house-trained and knows how to use a doggie door. Already proficient on basic commands, he is eager to learn new things and is a quick learner.

At his rescue exam, the vet said that Reggie is very healthy and estimates his age as 3-5 years old. He is a handsome fellow and gets compliments everywhere he goes with his foster dad.

Reggie takes a little time to warm up to people and can be protective of his primary caregiver once he does, so oversight is needed with proper neutral territory introductions to other dogs. Households with very young children are not recommended. Reggie gets along with other dogs he meets in public but occasionally he will express a possessive/protective reaction on his "turf". In the right home, he will flourish and deserves to be with people who will adore him and help build his trust one last time.

If you admire Reggie’s good looks and are ready for a loyal companion, please consider him for your new family member and complete an online application if you have not already done so.
