Taylor in Seattle, WA

Just Adopted!

If you can’t tell by the smile on Taylor’s face, she’s a happy girl! This 6 y/o Blenheim sweetheart has an endless supply of love and devotion to give to the people in her life.

Taylor came into rescue from an owner whose declining health made it difficult for her to care for her dogs. Taylor has been enjoying her foster home but is ready to find that special family of her own.

Some of Taylor’s favorite activities include going for car rides, meeting new people and doggie friends, and chasing birds. She’s very sporty! She loves hiking, running off-leash, and going on long walks. Whatever you’re doing, she wants to do too! She’s a dog that thrives on being out of the house and going on adventures.

We think Taylor would prefer to be the only dog in her new family. She loves to be the center of attention and is very affectionate. She always wants to be nearby, so much so that her foster dad can’t move more than a few feet without her following. While she’s not a lap dog, she does like to be right next to his side. And if she wants some pets and love, she’ll jump on the couch and gently paw his arm to remind him she’s there.

Taylor can be quite the talker. She makes cute noises when she thinks she’s going somewhere. And then when she realizes she gets to go too, she barks with delight. She just loves to be out and about. She’s great in the car and can hardly contain her excitement when it’s time to get out and see where the day will take her.

All of the exercise is good for Taylor because she came into rescue quite overweight. At 24-lbs, she’s trimmed down but still needs to lose a couple more. The vet otherwise found her to be a healthy girl.

Taylor has been gentle and sweet with all of the children she’s met. Not surprisingly, she just loves the attention they give her. She’d be a great dog for a family with children or visiting grandchildren. We do not think she’d do well living with cats though since she’s wanted to chase every one she’s encountered out on walks, and the same goes for birds.

We’re considering applicants within a 2-3 hour drive of Taylor’s foster home in Seattle.
