Bailey in Woodstock, IL

Just Adopted!

Here is cutie pie Bailey with his new family...

Bailey is ALL PUPPY! He was born on May 24th, 2017 and came into rescue when his first owner's leasing company changed their policy on pets. He did have some health complications that had to be dealt with; ear infection, respiratory infection, and Giardia. All have been treated and little Bailey is back to being a healthy puppy.

His personality has started to become more apparent in the last few weeks. He is very loving boy and does a very cute puppy wiggle when his foster mom comes home and first thing in the morning. He is learning what he is allowed to play with and can be a little stubborn when a non-toy is taken from him but is quickly back to his happy, playful self when it is immediately replaced with a toy that is puppy appropriate. Bailey is very talkative and will let his foster mom and dad know when he wants to play. He likes to bark at the adult Cavaliers, too.

Bailey gets along very well with the two adult Cavaliers in the house. He very much wants to play and roughhouse with them and they are doing a great job teaching him dog manners. Bailey is not afraid of anything. He wasn't too sure about the vacuum cleaner initially, but conquered his fear and now ignores the vacuum.

He is not leash trained yet and needs to be closely supervised when out in the fenced yard as he will pick up everything: sticks, bugs, grass, dirt, and rocks (rocks are his favorite). Bailey would love a fenced yard to run and play in with his forever family.

Bailey would do best with a family who is home a good part of the day and has time to dedicate to training a puppy. He would also do well with another small dog to learn from and a fenced in yard. Bailey is doing well with house training and knows that outside is for pottying, but needs to be watched in the house and kept on a schedule.
