Finnegan in Annapolis, MD

Update 10-11-17: We've received a number of good applications for this pup, so aren't taking more for now. Thank you!

Meet Finnegan! He’s a four-year-old, neutered, petite pup, and he is a complete love bug. His family made the difficult decision to find another home for him after their family situation changed. Finnegan clearly was much-loved and this shows in his winning personality.

Finnegan is very gentle and affectionate with people. He is his foster’s little shadow and never far from her side. He gets along great with his canine foster siblings and loves playing with them. He gets a little too excited around his feline sibling, so he would do best in a home with no cats.

Finnegan loves going for walks. He totally ignores other dogs or people on the street, and he walks beautifully on the leash. Finnegan knows sit, lay down and also come! He responds well to positive reinforcement, so training will be super easy with this boy.

Finnegan is mostly housetrained and has had only a few accidents since coming to his foster home. Keeping him on a schedule has helped and when he gets restless we know to let him outside. He is crated when no one is home and he sleeps in a crate at night. Finnegan doesn’t seem to mind being crated, but would much rather be with his canine buddies or his foster parents! (He’s big on snuggling!)

Finnegan recently had his teeth cleaned. His new family will need to be diligent about his dental care to keep him at his optimal health. He also was microchipped and is up-to-date on his vaccinations.

This beautiful, little boy is an absolute delight to foster. He would do best in a home with a family that has time to spend walking him and giving him the love and affection he deserves. While not a requirement, he would do very well in a home with another small dog. A fenced yard would be wonderful, too, because he likes to run with and chase his canine siblings!
