Donations Requested! Maggie in CA

Update 11-10-17: Thanks to a rescue angel who has made a substantial donation, Maggie's surgery has now been fully funded and she will have the gift of sight! Our heartfelt appreciation! We will keep this page up to date.

Original Post: Maggie came to Cavalier Rescue USA from a shelter. She had been found wandering, skinny, filthy, matted, and ill, and it was clear she had led a life as a breeding dog.

Now acclimating to life inside a home with a loving foster family, Maggie is blossoming into a true Cavalier! She's learned to bond and enjoy time with people, and has come to love walks and toys.

When she came to us, Maggie was a sad dog, wary of human kindness, and clearly neglected.

She had severe skin problems with fur loss, but this was the least of her issues. Her vision had been so neglected that she came to us blind in one eye and with a major cataract in the other.

Please help us to give her the gift of sight. Without cataract surgery, her vision will degrade further and she'll lose the rest of her vision.
