Humphrey in Beaverton, OR

Just Adopted!

Here's a picture of Humphrey with his new mom...

Humphrey is a loving 5-year-old Blenheim boy who wants nothing more than to snuggle and be with his special person. He can’t help but start his day giving and receiving love.

He needs a quiet home to be his best. The activity level of his previous family was too overwhelming for him, causing Humphrey to get nervous and whine. He has adjusted wonderfully to his quieter foster home and is pretty calm most of the time.

Humphrey gets nervous when his environment changes and would do best in a dog-savvy adult home with someone there most of the time and ready to give him lots of love and attention. Someone that will snuggle with him would be his dream come true! He wants to be as close as possible to his human and follow every step. If you’re in a chair, on the couch or bed, he is right there looking to jump up and join you. He will gladly roll over and offer you his tummy for a rub. He gets along with his Cavalier foster brother and sister but would do best as an only dog or possibly with another laid-back and calm dog.

Humphrey is house-trained, crate-trained, and is in great health. He has been 100% reliable with going potty outside. He likes to rest in a crate or on a dog bed. He is good with other dogs, children and cats. He knows basic commands, listens very well, and loves to ride in the car. He’s a little shy to warm up to new people, but as soon as he realizes they’ll be kind he moves in for pets and attention. He walks pretty well on a leash and would love one or two walks a day.

Humphrey weighs 25 pounds and is a little overweight, but he's working on trimming down at his foster home. He just loves his food and dances around when it’s time to eat. His person will need to make sure to monitor his food intake so he stays at a healthy weight and to keep all food out of reach. A fenced yard is recommended.
