Pumpkin in Atlanta, GA

Adoption Pending!

Pumpkin is a loyal, loving companion looking for a permanent home. Pumpkin is a 9-year-old Ruby female that enjoys long naps in front of the fireplace, snoring loudly and adorably. She follows foster mom from room to room, curious but also wanting to be near her humans.

She's very food-driven, dancing on her hind legs at mealtimes and very excitable at the sound of crinkled bags. Although she is crate-trained and will go to her crate and lay down with a "house" or "go home" command, she does not like being left alone. She can also be a bit territorial with other dogs, especially around mealtimes, although this is typical of an adjustment period and has subsided from the first few days.

She likes her evening walks, but she is definitely "indoorsy," preferring the lap to playtime. She always manages to get the tips of her very long, floppy ears wet when drinking out of the water bowl.

Pumpkin has a sweet temperament around people including kids but would need a patient parent in a family with other dogs, so likely she’ll be best as the only dog.

She would probably thrive best in a small setting, with a very present, doting parent who can spoil her and let her on the furniture. She'll do just fine in an indoor environment with ample access to parks, woods, or a fenced-in yard.

Pumpkin is located in the metro Atlanta, Georgia area.
